Exploring Symfony 2

Submitted by olaf on 2013-11-18

Recently, I was interviewed for a project using Symfony 2. So, I wanted to learn about Symfony, and installed the current distribution below /usr/local.

But usually, I have /usr/local mounted read-only. Therefore, I moved the src directory to my home. Now I must tell Symfony, where to find the src directory. This is done by editing the autoload entry in composer.json

"autoload": {
    "psr-0": {
        "OlafDietsche\\DemoBundle\\": "/home/olaf/src/symfony/demo/",
        "": "src/"
    }
},

Finally, I have to update all the necessary config files by

php /path/to/composer.phar update
